“I started my apprenticeship at UNW in August 2021, after I had finished my A-Levels. I was unsure of the route I wanted to go down initially, however as I have always found practical learning more effective, it was clear that I was more suited to an apprenticeship. I had always been interested in figures and their real-life application within the world of business and finance, therefore pursuing a career in accounting seemed a sensible choice. This was confirmed to me once I had completed a week’s work experience within the tax team here at UNW.

“I particularly enjoy the challenging and diverse nature the work in my role in the tax team, which ensures that no day is the same. In addition to this, UNW is a great learning environment and place to work, due to the helpful and supportive team. This allows me to maximise my development and gain experience that I may have not been able to get at university. Outside of work, there is also a range of social activities to get involved with, creating a friendly atmosphere throughout the firm.”
