Chairing Network – Trustees Week

05 Nov 2024

UNW will host the next session of The Chairing Network with the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland at our Newcastle city centre offices.

Date: Tuesday 5th November 2024
Time: 8.30 am – 10.30 am
Location: UNW, Citygate, St James’ Boulevard, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4JE

The responsibilities of Chairs of charities are extensive and can vary greatly between organisations. The Chairing Network at the Community Foundation exists to explore key themes affecting all Chairs and to bring you together with your peers.

In celebration of Trustees’ Week 2024, we are delighted to welcome our guest speaker and Chair of Association of Chairs, Joe Saxton to share his reflections on Chairing. Joe was named one of the most influential people in voluntary sector communications by PR Week, and has twice been named as one of the 1000 most influential people in London by the Evening Standard newspaper. He was given the Lifetime Achievement award by the Institute of Fundraising, and was highly commended in the Chair of the Year category in the Third Sector Excellence Awards.

This session is for you if you are an experienced Chair seeking fresh inspiration for developing your board or an aspiring Chair preparing for your next steps in governance.

Join us to share your experiences or listen-in to the conversation. As always, there will be the opportunity to network with your peers and enjoy breakfast refreshments provided by UNW.

Seats are limited, so we encourage you to RSVP here at your earliest convenience to secure your place at this exclusive event.
