Manager, Deal Advisory

Following his studies at Newcastle University, where he earned a BSc in Chemistry, Ed trained and qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA) within UNW’s Audit team.

After three and a half years in audit, he joined the firm’s Deal Advisory department, where he works across both Mergers & Acquisitions and Transaction Services (Financial Due Diligence).

Ed advises primarily owner-managed and private equity-backed businesses throughout the transaction lifecycle, supporting clients from initial sale preparation and exit planning through to financial due diligence, negotiations and successful completion. His role spans both buy-side and sell-side engagements, providing clients with strategic and financial insights to help maximise value and achieve their objectives.

He has worked across a diverse range of sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, technology, business services and more, gaining experience in delivering transactions of varying size and complexity.
