Naomi Townsend

Senior Manager, Corporate Finance

Naomi joined UNW in February 2025 as Senior Manager.

A native of the North East, Naomi studied Law at the University of Leeds before joining KPMG Newcastle in 2014, where she gained extensive experience across audit and corporate finance over seven years.

As a Corporate Finance Manager at KPMG, she provided lead advisory services to businesses across the North, notably on the sale of Visualsoft to Livingbridge, the investment by LDC in WCCTV, and the sale of Bloom Procurement to BGF – achievements that led to her being named ‘North East Emerging Dealmaker of the Year’ in 2021.

In 2021, Naomi joined mid-market private equity firm LDC as an Investment Manager, supporting management teams across a broad range of sectors in the North East. During her time at LDC, she gained extensive board experience as a Non-Executive Director at Cleveland Containers and Aspire Technology Solutions, after completing investments in these businesses. She also served as a Board Observer at iamproperty, helping the business prepare for a secondary buyout where LDC successfully exited to Perwyn. Her work in the region was further recognised when she was named ‘Young Financier of the Year’ at the North East Young Professionals Awards in 2022.

In 2024, Naomi further broadened her funding experience by joining Barclays Corporate Bank as a Relationship Development Director. In this role, she managed a growing portfolio of clients and originated new business opportunities, delivering tailored lending solutions and strategic advice to businesses across technology, transport, and manufacturing sectors.
