“In 2021, we made the decision to look at selling our Dental Practice in the South West of England. Michael McCulloch and the team at UNW spent many hours gathering all the financial, geographical, social and demographic information about the practice in order to produce the detailed Information Memorandum that would eventually go to prospective buyers. We were heavily involved in this process as we were very keen to ensure UNW knew every aspect of our practice in order to be able to market it to a buyer that fitted our ethos and desires post sale. They worked closely with our own accountants in order to ensure that all the detailed financials were accurate so that the growth projections and multiples were optimised and realistic.

Once we were happy with the IM, UNW then advised on the appropriate corporate entities that would suit our practice profile and our desires for working post sale. Michael and his team completely understood these desires and we were very happy with the initial buyers they approached. This was quickly whittled down to 2 very interested parties and then with some excellent negotiating skills a successful bidder was chosen. Michael’s negotiating skills at this particular stage were brilliant and he successfully guided us through something that was absolutely crucial for us in achieving a suitable partner for the future as well as adding huge value to the figure we achieved.

As dental practitioners, we were venturing into the dark as we went to sell our lifetime’s worth of work.
