UNW has further expanded its Corporate Finance offering with the appointment of Stephen Twaddle as Senior Manager within its growing Due Diligence team.

Stephen joins UNW following eight years at Deloitte, where he began his career in Audit before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and progressing to a Senior Manager role within the firm’s Transaction Services team. During his time there, he developed extensive experience in financial due diligence, working on a wide variety of buy-side and sell-side transactions, as well as refinancing projects.

Advising clients across a broad range of sectors and deal sizes, Stephen has built a reputation for providing insightful, pragmatic advice to help businesses navigate complex transactions. At UNW, he will play a key role in supporting clients through acquisitions and disposals, as the firm continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading providers of due diligence services in the region.

UNW’s Due Diligence team has had a standout year in 2025, completing 14 projects across the Industrials, TMT, Business Services, and Energy sectors, with deal values ranging from £1m to £30m and a combined total value of over £115m.

Speaking of his motivations for joining the firm, Stephen Twaddle said: “UNW’s due diligence offering has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and the opportunity to be part of that growth really excites me.

“The firm’s independence and entrepreneurial spirit create a unique environment where you can make a real difference – supporting businesses both in the region and beyond. I’m looking forward to working with the team to develop the strong due diligence service further and contributing to UNW’s continued success.”

Danny Malone, Head of Due Diligence at UNW, added: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen to UNW. Having joined us from Deloitte, he brings valuable transaction services experience and will further enhance our financial due diligence offering.

“The addition of Stephen to our growing team sends a strong signal about our ambitions and our commitment to placing deliverable quality and client experience front and centre. I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to take UNW’s due diligence service onwards and upwards.”
