Your future in finance

Kickstart your career after A Levels

Our award-winning apprenticeship programme is a brilliant way to start your career in accounting straight from school or college. You’ll gain recognised qualifications, build valuable skills, and grow personally and professionally, all while earning a salary.

Why choose an apprenticeship at UNW?

Over three years, you’ll work towards your Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification while gaining first-hand experience from day one.

You’ll benefit from:

Real experience. From the outset, you’ll be involved in real work with real clients, helping you build confidence and develop skills you’ll use throughout your career.

Support from our team. You’ll be guided by experienced colleagues and supported by a network of current apprentices who’ve been in your shoes and can help you settle in.

Learning as you go. Your training will combine on-the-job learning with classroom study as you work towards your qualifications, giving you the best of both worlds.

No university debt. Instead of paying tuition fees, you’ll earn a salary while gaining qualifications and building your future.

By the end of the programme, you’ll hold AAT Levels 3 and 4 and be in a strong position to move on to a higher-level qualification on the path to becoming a fully-fledged chartered accountant.

Is this right for you?

If you’ve completed your A Levels and want to go straight into a career in accounting without going to university, this could be the perfect next step.

To apply for our apprenticeship programme, you’ll either be currently studying for your A Levels with predicted grades of at least three Bs, or have already achieved those grades. You’ll also need a minimum grade 6 (B) in both GCSE Maths and English Language.

We’re now accepting applications for roles in our audit and tax teams, starting in September 2025.

Apply using the form below, or get in touch at recruitment@unw.co.uk if you have any questions.
